About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Senior Executive to play a pivotal role in expanding our Advisory Group (AG) channel. You will strengthen our recruitment process by owning the onboarding and transition support for our new Financial Advisers (FAs), from application to their first weeks with us.
This role blends business growth and people development. Itis ideal for someone who thrives on driving results, enjoys building relationships, and wants ownership over the entire process.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder coordination: Work with hiring leads and internal stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Operations, IT) to prepare and process new FA applications efficiently and accurately.
- Business setup: Arrange training, systems checklists, and marketing and branding initiatives before new FAs officially join.
- Transition support: Help new FAs transition smoothly into the firm, so they feel welcome and ready from day one.
- Induction and systems orientation: Coordinate induction sessions, including systems orientation, so every new FA is ready to kickstart their journey.
- Onboarding: Run a structured onboarding journey so every new FA knows what to expect in their first weeks.
- Value-added training: Identify and organise additional training that builds new FAs’ skills, confidence and productivity.
- Tracking and reporting: Maintain onboarding records, monitor new FA progress, and share insights and recommendations with management.
- Process improvement: Review and revamp the recruitment and onboarding process based on feedback and results, removing friction so joining the firm is seamless.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in business development, recruitment or onboarding, preferably in the financial advisory or insurance industry.
- Prior experience in onboarding new FAs, with an understanding of the FA appointment and registration process.
- Familiarity with MAS regulatory requirements for representatives is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with FAs, leaders and internal teams.
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple onboarding cases independently.
- Experience creating systems, checklists or workflows that ensure a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Proactive, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Why Join Us
- Ownership of the end-to-end onboarding experience for a growing channel.
- Opportunity to shape and improve how the firm attracts and develops advisers.
- Collaborative environment with exposure to senior leadership and multiple business functions.
