Network Technician

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, access points, and modems.

Set up and maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, and other basic network connections.

Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.

Diagnose and resolve basic computer hardware and software problems.

Install and configure network cables, connectors, and related equipment.

Monitor network equipment and report faults or unusual network activity.

Perform routine maintenance and testing of network infrastructure.

Assist with network upgrades, installations, and equipment replacement.

Provide basic technical support to users.

Keep records of network equipment, installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Follow company procedures for network security, safety, and equipment handling.

Carry out other technical duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO.

Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and internet connectivity.

Ability to install and troubleshoot network cables and devices.

Familiarity with routers, switches, Wi-Fi devices, and basic network configuration.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Ability to work flexible hours when required. OND, NCE, HND, or other relevant technical qualification (Added Advantage).

Training or certification in networking or IT, such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent (Added Advantage).

Previous experience working as a network technician, IT support technician, or in a related technical role (Added Advantage).

Basic understanding of IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, and network security (Added Advantage). 0–2 years of relevant experience may be considered.

Candidates with practical networking skills but limited formal work experience are encouraged to apply.
