Senior Stress Engineer - Piping Design and Calculation

We are part of VULCAIN ENGINEERING, a French international group of engineering companies with a multi-sector approach, working in the various key areas of infrastructure and energy. Currently, we are looking for a SENIOR STRESS ENGINEER specialized in PIPING DESIGN AND CALCULATION to join our team located in the Madrid office. Functions and Responsibilities: Performing piping flexibility analysis: static and dynamic modeling and calculation (water hammer, seismic, wind, valve relief) using specialized software (experience with Caesar II preferred).
Drafting calculation reports and technical memories: Preparation of detailed documentation justifying compliance with international regulations.
Performing integral design of support systems: selection, specification, and calculation of primary and secondary supports, including variable and constant load supports (springs), expansion joints, snubbers, and special structural supports.
Validation of loads on nozzles of static and rotating equipment according to industrial standards such as API 610, API 617, WRC 107/297/537 to ensure that transmitted stresses are allowable.
Coordinating with the civil, mechanical, and process department disciplines for design integration.
Leadership in project meetings: Active participation in design reviews (model reviews) and coordination meetings with clients and support suppliers to resolve interferences or flexibility issues.
Mastering different international codes and standards: Rigorous application of material and mechanical design regulations, as well as client internal standards for the standardization of supports and components. Requirements Degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
+5 years of experience in piping design in multidisciplinary projects.
Mastery of international codes and standards.
Fluent English level (B2 or C1) is indispensable.
