Your tasks
Currently, we are looking for a High Voltage (HV) Electrical Line Engineer to join our team in Colombia and participate in the development of electrical infrastructure projects from our technical office.
We are looking for a technical profile with experience in the design and engineering development of high voltage electrical substations and overhead and underground transmission lines, with the capacity to intervene in the different phases of the project: conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering.
- Develop conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering for high voltage electrical substation projects and overhead and underground transmission lines.
- Design and develop technical solutions for high voltage lines, including routing, implementation, and definition of the main design parameters.
- Perform electrical and electromechanical calculations associated with transmission lines, according to the technical requirements of each project.
- Prepare and review drawings, calculation reports, technical specifications, descriptive reports, and other engineering documentation.
- Analyze topographic information and develop implementation and routing studies for electrical lines.
- Use specialized design and calculation tools, especially PLS-CADD, for the modeling and development of overhead high voltage line projects.
- Verify the technical consistency of the engineering documentation and compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
- Technically coordinate activities with the engineering team and the various disciplines involved, ensuring the quality and consistency of the developed solutions.
- Participate in the technical review of projects and in the identification of possible design improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering, with training and experience related to high voltage projects.
- Minimum of +3 years of experience in engineering companies performing the described functions, preferably in a technical office.
- Experience in the development of conceptual, basic, and/or detailed engineering of high voltage electrical installations.
- Demonstrable proficiency in PLS-CADD for the design and development of overhead transmission lines.
- Knowledge of TOWER and other specialized electrical design and calculation tools.
- Knowledge of electrical calculations, design criteria, routing, and implementation of high voltage lines.
- Ability to prepare and interpret drawings, calculation reports, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Analytical capacity, attention to detail, planning, and collaborative work with the various teams in the area.
- Fluent English level. French will be positively valued.
