Maintenance Superintendent, camp

The Maintenance Superintendent will oversee technical and operational maintenance activities across five permanent accommodation camps supporting a major LNG facility in Mozambique. The role will manage maintenance contractors, ensure contractual and HSE compliance, and maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and service delivery across all camp facilities.
Oversee daily maintenance operations across five permanent accommodation camps. Manage and monitor maintenance contractors against contractual requirements, SLAs, and KPIs. Review and monitor preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance activities. Conduct daily inspections, spot checks, and quality verification of completed works. Manage non-conformances and ensure timely corrective actions. Oversee maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen, fire and life-safety, building, recreational, power generation, and solar PV systems. Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, certifications, and statutory requirements. Enforce Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout, hot work, working at height, and confined space procedures. Participate in toolbox talks and incident investigations. Prepare daily and weekly maintenance reports. Support internal and external audits. Use CMMS systems to monitor maintenance activities and work orders Provide technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making support.
Technical Diploma, HNC, or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Facilities Maintenance. Minimum 15 years’ experience in building services and facilities maintenance. Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Maintenance Superintendent or Senior Supervisor. Proven experience managing maintenance across multiple remote accommodation camps, preferably 5+ camps. Strong technical knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and building services. Experience with commercial kitchen, canteen, recreational, and sports facilities. Proven client-side contractor management experience under SLAs and KPI regimes. Experience with Maximo, SAP PM, Infor, Fiix, or equivalent CMMS. Relevant HSE certifications including Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout, Working at Height, Confined Space, First Aid, and Basic Firefighting. Electrical inspection, testing, or authorization qualifications are desirable. Strong English communication and documentation skills; Portuguese is an asset. Ability to work independently in remote, multicultural, and high-activity environments.
