I.T Engineering Lead

The Client is an operator specializing in Oil & Gas projects. As part of the service scope, the role  is to build, foster, implement and maintain leading-edge engineering strategies and practices that ensure digital

products are fit for purpose, agile and maximize value for the Company and all stakeholders. The job holder will

oversee software engineering teams, design secure scalable solutions, and maintain technical standards on a

cloud-native platform.

ACTIVITIES

Solution Architecture

 Identify, validate, and advocate the adoption of suitable digital technologies and frameworks, ensuring

they are appropriate for use case development and consistent with COMPANY’s digital strategy.

 Lead the architectural design and delivery of digital solutions for LBUs ensuring that all solutions delivered are scalable, secure, resilient,

aligned with COMPANY’s business objectives, comply with COMPANY security standards, and support

operational excellence, compliance, and innovation across our operations.

 Lead the adoption and integration of cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure and the design and

implementation of on-premises infrastructure and services

 Define and enforce DevOps framework and practices for IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous delivery)

 Identify and establish the reliability and security of data sources needed for the realization of COMPANY digital solutions.

 Manage technical/security risks and create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.

Product Engineering

 Lead and direct software engineering team and third-party software engineers, ensuring that the team meet

expected delivery timelines, quality benchmarks, and contractual obligations for the full product lifecycle—

from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.

 Act as the technical authority, providing decisive architectural guidance, problem-solving leadership, and

hands-on technical direction when required to unblock technical issues and maintain delivery momentum.

 Accountable for the technical quality and performance of all digital products developed within D&I,

enforcing engineering standards, design principles, and compliance with Company policies, cybersecurity

rules, and regulatory requirements.

 Drive engineering excellence by institutionalizing best-in-class practices (Agile, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, automated testing, secure coding, etc.) and ensuring consistent adoption across all development squads.

 Own the engineering capability uplift plan, ensuring continuous development of development squads

through structured coaching, mentoring, training, and cross-functional knowledge-sharing initiatives.

 Maintain strong strategic alignment with stakeholders, proactively engaging product managers, product

owners, domain experts, and business leaders to anticipate needs, address risks early, and ensure delivery

of high-value digital products.

 Ensure transparent communication and reporting, providing D&I and Business leadership with clear visibility

on technical risks, mitigation plans, delivery performance, and progress against the digital roadmap.

 Champion a culture of innovation and operational excellence, ensuring that engineering solutions not only

meet requirements but continually push for improved efficiency, reduced technical debt, and higher

business impact.

 Ensure comprehensive post-deployment support is provided to all locally developed digital tools currently in

operation.

 Help shape the long-term product vision, set digital ambitions, and define the strategy for COMPANY's digital

transformation program, while also serving as a key advocate for change.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related discipline.

 At least 10 years of experience in IT and Product Engineering with demonstrable experience and knowledge of

Software Engineering, Data

 Engineering and Data Analytics.

 Experience in enterprise integration and microservices architecture

 Extensive knowledge of Agile software development practices (such as Scrum, TDD, CI/CD)

 Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management

 Ability to manage complex technical projects and communicate effectively with project stakeholders is required.

Should have excellent sense of organization and methods.

 Solution Architecture experience in a large-scale enterprise cloud environment (Azure or AWS) is required.

Experience should cover computing, networks, security, databases, storage, monitoring and big data analytics.

Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is an advantage.

 Expert understanding of various software languages and frameworks: C#, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL. An understanding of low-code environments like SharePoint and PowerApps is desirable.

 Experience with relational and NoSQL databases: Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

 Should have a general understanding of data analytics and machine learning concepts, frameworks, and

technologies and be familiar with model building and data visualization.

 Experience in Business Process re-engineering / LEAN is desirable.
