Electromechanical / LV Supervisor

The client is a leading Energy Company 

-Purpose:

The aim is to extend and upgrade five existing high-voltage (HV) electrical substations as a turnkey project.

This technical service will be carried out in Nigeria. This location could be changed according to the progress of the work and the project needs.

-Scope of Work:

The LV Supervisor shall be moved to one of the sites 

Main Goals

-Represent Company on site for all Low Voltage installation activities.

-Ensure safe execution in accordance with the Company’s Zero Harm philosophy.

-Supervise subcontractors performing LV installation works.

-Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

-Prepare LV systems for Ready for Commissioning (RFC) and energization.

Deliverables:

-Supervise installation of LV switchboards, AC and DC distribution boards, UPS systems, battery chargers, batteries and auxiliary transformers.

-Supervise installation of control cables, power cables, cable trays, conduits and cable terminations.

-Verify installation of marshalling kiosks, local control cabinets and junction boxes.

-Ensure compliance with approved drawings, cable schedules, wiring diagrams and method statements.

-Verify cable identification, routing, glanding, termination and continuity.

-Coordinate interfaces between LV installation, Protection & Control, SCADA, Telecom and HV primary equipment.

-Implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Plans.

-Monitor subcontractor productivity, workmanship and construction progress.

-Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.

-Manage punch items, NCRs and corrective actions.

-Ensure compliance with Company’s HSE and QA/QC procedures.

-Support the Ready for Commissioning (RFC), Energization and Final Handover

-Approved engineering drawings and cable schedules.

-Construction schedule and execution procedures.

-Inspection & Test Plans and Quality documentation.

-Company’s construction standards and HSE procedures.

Requirements for Technical Services

-Minimum 7 years of experience supervising LV installation works on HV substations.

-Experience on 132–330 kV AIS/GIS EPC projects.

-Knowledge of LV switchboards, AC/DC auxiliary systems and cable installation.

-Knowledge of IEC standards and Company’s installation practices.

-Experience supervising subcontractors.
