Caseworker

We're looking for a Caseworker for a central government department based in London (hybrid) on a 5-month contract, paying up to £214 per day (Inside IR35).

This is a hybrid role with an onsite induction, then 1 to 3 days a week in the office in London as business needs require.

The successful Caseworker will assess complex cases, weigh information from multiple sources, and apply government policy to reach sound, defensible decisions. You'll work to strict procedures and tight deadlines in a sensitive, high-pace operational environment, and clearly justify the calls you make. Some of the material involved is graphic or distressing, so resilience matters.

You will need proven experience in the following:

Previous caseworker experience Analysing complex information from multiple sources with strong attention to detail Applying government policy and strict procedures to decisions, and justifying those decisions Working to tight deadlines in a high-pace, sensitive environment Stakeholder management and a good working knowledge of Data Protection Microsoft Office 365 competency (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

You'll also need excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving ability, empathy, and the resilience to handle graphic or disturbing content.

You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance with no restrictions.
