Head of Electrical Design (Engineer - Electrical Engineering)

Tasks

• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the electrical design department as well as targeted development of the 22 employees
• Responsible assumption of administrative and organizational tasks in the design process
• Ensuring technical project execution
• Monitoring project and department goals through regular review, analysis, and updating of the project status, including reporting
• Active participation in shaping the constructive company standards and documentation
• Identifying and implementing engineering trends
• Revising the existing department structure and creating a center of competence for electrical design from a personnel and organizational perspective
• Cross-departmental contact person for project teams, mechanical design, sales, service, and assembly

Profile:

• Several years of professional experience in industrial mechanical engineering and special purpose machine construction
• Experience in the field of resistance welding
• Leadership experience as a team, group, or project leader
• Successfully completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology, software development, or a comparable qualification
• Preferably experience in dealing with Simatic STEP 7 (TIA Portal), Siemens Motion Control systems, fieldbus technology, robot systems (ABB, KUKA, Fanuc), or as a software developer
• Good English skills in spoken and written form
• Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, passion for innovation, creativity, as well as a hands-on mentality
• Entrepreneurial mindset, determination, as well as organizational and teamwork skills
• Customer-oriented, independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of thinking and working
