SOLAR TECHNICIAN

Location: Mabushi, Abuja

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: 150 - 250

We are seeking experienced Solar PV Technical Officers with proven, hands-on experience in the installation, integration and commissioning of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar systems and mini-grids.

The ideal candidate must have practical experience executing solar installation projects and be capable of independently handling technical assignments with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience installing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV systems and mini-grids.
• Practical knowledge of solar system components, including PV modules, inverters, battery storage systems and protection devices.
• Ability to execute installations, including panel mounting, DC/AC wiring, cable termination, inverter integration and system configuration.
• Experience in solar system testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant solar design and technical drawing software.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation layouts.
• Strong understanding of solar installation safety standards and best practices.
• Ability to independently execute and coordinate installation tasks with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations when required.

Qualifications

• OND/HND/BSc in Electrical Engineering or any related field
• 2-4 years experience in solar and inverter installation
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office Tools for reporting
• COREN certification is an added advantage
