Senior Data Engineer

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and translate business data requirements into technical solutions, including data source analysis, data mapping, data transformation rules, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience in Data Platform initiatives and Cloud Migration projects.
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives and providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
• Proactive and accountable in managing assigned tasks, including providing regular progress updates, coordinating with business users, following up on project deliverables, and proposing effective technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Data Platform, including services such as AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and other relevant AWS data services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, or similar DevOps tools.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, Data Modeling, and Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
• Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience in the Insurance industry will be a strong advantage.
