Data Analyst

Responsibilities and assignments

Technical reference for the Data Science team, acting as a reference in technical decisions, definition of analytical architecture, best practices, and guidance of deliveries.

• Coordinate the development of Data Science solutions for processing, analysis, and extraction of value from large volumes of data generated by distributed sensing systems and other high-frequency data sources;
• Develop and implement Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence models, and advanced data analysis techniques for anomaly detection, event classification, pattern recognition, and decision support;
• Design and implement data pipelines for ingestion, processing, transformation, and availability of data in distributed and high-scale environments;
• Define and apply strategies for data treatment, cleaning, curation, and enrichment, ensuring quality, reliability, and traceability of information;
• Develop algorithms and approaches for dimensionality reduction, data compression, distributed processing, and computational performance optimization;
• Work together with Data Engineering, Architecture, Research and Development teams, and domain specialists to translate business challenges into scalable analytical solutions;
• Conduct studies, proofs of concept (PoCs), experimentation, and evaluations of new technologies, methods, and algorithms related to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence;
• Ensure the adoption of best practices in development, documentation, governance, and monitoring of the developed analytical models and products;
• Support the technical evolution of the team through mentoring, code review, knowledge dissemination, and development of internal capabilities;
• Participate in the definition of the project's data and artificial intelligence strategy, contributing to the construction of scalable, robust, and results-oriented solutions.

Requirements and qualifications

• Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related areas
• Solid experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence applied to large-scale data;
• Experience in technical leadership of teams, supporting architectural decisions, technical guidance, solution review, and mentoring professionals;
• Knowledge in time series, anomaly detection, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and feature engineering;
• Knowledge in signal processing, including filtering, FFT, wavelets, and feature extraction;
• Experience with Python, SQL, and main frameworks and libraries for data analysis and Machine Learning;
• Knowledge in Big Data architectures, distributed processing, Data Lakes, NoSQL databases, and streaming data processing;
• Experience in data modeling, quality, governance, and architecture;
• Knowledge in Data-Centric AI, data compression, and distributed processing;
• Experience with APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud environments;
• Ability to transform business problems into scalable and data-driven analytical solutions;
• Advanced English.
