Job Description

We are looking for a highly passionate, competent, and results-driven Senior Curriculum Specialist & Academic Tutor to deliver top-tier academic guidance across local and international frameworks. IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme (DP) frameworks. You will play a crucial role in mentoring students through their critical academic milestones, helping them bridge gaps in understanding and achieve distinction-level results.

Key Responsibilities

• Syllabus Planning & Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging 1-on-1 or small-group lessons tailored to current MOE (Express, G3/G2, Integrated Programme), IGCSE, and IB (MYP/DP) syllabi.
• Subject Mastery: Provide comprehensive instruction in your specialized domain(s): Mathematics: Secondary E-Math/A-Math, IGCSE Extended Math, IB Math AA & AI (HL/SL). Sciences: Pure/Combined Physics, Chemistry, Biology (O-Level, IGCSE, IB HL/SL). Languages & Humanities: English Language/Literature, Economics, Business Management, History, and Geography.
• Exam Strategy & Scaffolding: Equip students with high-scoring exam techniques, proper structural answer precision, and time management skills through rigorous analysis of the Ten-Year Series (TYS), IGCSE past papers, and IB rubrics.
• International Coursework Mentorship: Meticulously guide IB students through complex internal coursework requirements, including Internal Assessments (IAs), Extended Essays (EE), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK).
• Progress Monitoring: Design diagnostic assessments, track individual student milestones, and maintain regular, professional communication with parents regarding performance and development.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a reputable university in a relevant field of study.
• Professional Credentials: NIE-trained, ex-MOE, or current MOE school teachers are highly preferred. Experienced full-time tutors with a strong, verifiable history of grade improvements are also welcome to apply.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience specializing in either the MOE secondary syllabus, Cambridge/Edexcel IGCSE, or the IB Diploma Programme.
• Core Competencies:
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build immediate rapport with both local and international school students.
• Deep understanding of marking rubrics, assessment criteria, and common student misconceptions.
• Ability to simplify abstract or complex academic concepts into digestible, sequential steps.
• Availability: Able to work flexible hours, predominantly weekday evenings and weekends, to align with students' school timetables.
