Estates Surveyor

£500 per day (umbrella) | Morden, Hybrid | 3 – 6 Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join a busy public sector property team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded surveyor with strong estate management, valuation and development experience to take responsibility for a diverse property portfolio and provide high-quality professional advice across a large and complex organisation.

The Role:

Managing a diverse commercial and operational property portfolio. Undertaking and supporting valuations, rental assessments and rent reviews. Negotiating and managing leases, renewals, easements, wayleaves and licences. Leading on the acquisition and disposal of land and property, including surplus assets. Providing advice on development proposals, viability and commercial redevelopment. Supporting projects involving planning applications and complex property matters. Advising senior officers and stakeholders on land, property and estate management issues. Undertaking property inspections and advising on condition and potential maintenance requirements.

About You:

• MRICS/FRICS status.
• Significant experience across lettings, acquisitions, disposals and valuations.
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and estate management.
• Experience with rent reviews, lease negotiations and property transactions.
• Knowledge of compulsory purchase, compensation, rating and asset valuations.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, RICS standards and professional practice.
