About the company
Insight Executive Group are working in partnership with a leading UK Facilities Management company who deliver high-quality Hard FM services across complex healthcare environments. The role is Head of Engineering to lead their Engineering & Maintenance team across Healthcare LIFT portfolio. This is a permanent position based in London (with some national travel requited) with a starting salary of up £85k plus bonus.
Your tasks
The Head of Engineering will be responsible for
- the strategic and operational management of Engineering & Maintenance services across their Healthcare LIFT portfolio
- leading the Engineering Team, ensuring the safe, compliant and effective delivery of Hard FM services whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and contractual performance
- working closely with Contract Managers and the Compliance Team
- overseeing statutory compliance, technical governance, engineering performance and quality assurance across the estate
- leading engineering audits and technical reviews, ensuring robust processes, clear audit trails and full compliance with contractual and statutory obligations
- contributing to commercial and financial performance, supporting budget setting, forecasting, procurement activities and business-wide continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
The Head of Engineering will be able to demonstrate:
- significant experience managing Hard FM services across complex, multi-site estates within a PPP/PFI environment, ideally healthcare
- strong technical knowledge of building services engineering, statutory compliance and healthcare maintenance requirements, including HTMs and HBNs
- proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, contractors and multiple stakeholders
- commercially awareness with experience of performance management, contract delivery and budget accountability
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering discipline
