ABOUT THE STRUCTURE

The Bordeaux Population Health center (BPH (https://www.bordeaux-population-health.center/fr/), U1219 Univ. Bordeaux - Inserm), one of the leading population health research centers in France, comprises 10 teams (-500 people) working on diverse themes in public health, with 5 transversal areas of excellence: (i) brain health throughout life; (ii) data science (IA, molecular epidemiology, longitudinal cohorts, medico-administrative databases); (iii) infectious diseases and global health; (iv) aging and resilience; (v) environmental and social determinants of health.

MAIN MISSION

The recruited person's mission will be to:

• Participate in the methodological reflection of the team
• Develop and/or implement the most suitable statistical methods
• Write and review statistical procedures
• Ensure the filing and archiving of documents concerning statistical analyses (statistical analysis programs, results).

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Participate in the methodological choices for statistical analysis
• Monitor the proper progress of the study if applicable
• Develop or implement the necessary statistical method(s) mainly under R (Python or C++ occasionally)
• Perform simulations for the validation of methods if necessary
• Write the statistical analysis report(s)
• Participate in dissemination through the presentation of oral or poster communications and the writing of articles

Profile sought:

KNOWLEDGE

• Programming skills (any language)
• Knowledge of R necessary
• Knowledge of Python and/or C++ appreciated,
• Knowledge of LaTeX
• Inferential statistics, learning
• Scientific and technical English

• Mastery of field management software and office tools
• Manage the confidentiality of information and data.
• Work in a team and in partnership relations (Vaccine Research Institute, ANRS and other sponsors, coordinating investigators and research partners, CREDIM)
