Description:

The Director of the structure will have the following missions:

• LEAD THE CENTER:
• coordinate its activity;
• manage its staff;
• ensure financial balance.

• PURSUE AND DEVELOP THE IMAGING PLATFORM MISSION to meet the scientific needs of researchers and health professionals.
• GUIDE METHODOLOGICAL CHOICES towards equipment and technologies integrating the latest developments in the field.

• SUPPORT NEW PROJECTS promoting the excellence of the unit.
• ENSURE RESPONSIBILITY for the regulatory framework and the quality of the activity.

• DEVELOP NEW regional, national, and international collaborations.
• SUPPORT METHODOLOGICAL RESEARCH in imaging.

• REPRESENT THE UNIT in local, regional, and national coordination structures of research support platforms.
• ALIGN MISSIONS with the strategic orientations of the unit's supervisory bodies.

• CENTER DIRECTION AND MANAGEMENT: prepare, monitor, and optimize the annual budget (-1.8 M€), ensure its sustainability and compliance with public management rules; organize and supervise activities; manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of 28 people.
• COORDINATION OF GOVERNANCE BODIES: lead steering committees, present activities to supervisory bodies, prepare agendas, minutes, and activity reports, and ensure the follow-up of decisions.

• COORDINATION OF THE CENTER'S ACTIVITY WITH THE RESEARCH POLICIES OF THE SUPERVISORY BODIES: represent the center in local, national, and international bodies, networks, consortiums, and working groups.
• DEVELOPMENT OF THE IMAGING PLATFORM MISSION: support equipment managers, coordinate access to resources, ensure the quality of services and the adequacy of means to needs; ensure the continuity of ISO 9001 certification and study complementary certifications.

• METHODOLOGICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ORIENTATION: maintain a high-performance equipment fleet consistent with scientific advances and research strategies; identify relevant innovations and coordinate active monitoring of sector developments.
• SUPPORT FOR SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS: support the design, setup, and monitoring of innovative projects; promote the results and expertise of the unit; facilitate access to funding and calls for projects.

• DEVELOPMENT OF COLLABORATIONS: initiate and strengthen partnerships with local, national, and international actors (laboratories, companies, institutions).
• CONTRIBUTE TO THE COORDINATION OF THE SITE'S LIVING IMAGING PLATFORMS.

• REPRESENT CERMEP in national and international scientific networks.
• ORGANIZE TRAINING AND TEACHING ACTIONS: supervision of students, interventions, seminars, workshops, and tutoring on the imaging practiced on the platform.

• Fluent command of English, both spoken and written.

Desired experience

• The candidate must be a high-level scientist with recognized expertise in the field of medical imaging.
• Confirmed management experience ideally acquired over a period of 5 to 10 years.
• The candidate must demonstrate a strategic and prospective vision to support the development of the structure.

Required training and degree

• Doctorate (PhD) in sciences.
• Medical Doctor degree (MD) or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD).

CANDIDATES MUST BE STATUTORYLY EMPLOYED BY AN EPST, A SCHOOL, A UNIVERSITY, OR HOSPITAL ESTABLISHMENT, PRIMARILY THE SUPERVISORY BODIES OF CERMEP: INSERM, CNRS, LYON 1 UNIVERSITÉ, HOSPICES CIVILS DE LYON.
