About the company
Description THE CANDIDATE WILL JOIN MS. LAFFARGUE'S TEAM AT THE INSTITUTE OF METABOLIC AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES (I2MC, UMR1297; HTTPS://WWW.I2MC.INSERM.FR (https://www.i2mc.inserm.fr)), LOCATED IN TOULOUSE. MS. LAFFARGUE'S TEAM IS INTERESTED IN THE RESPONSES OF VASCULAR CELLS INVOLVED IN ARTERIAL REMODELING LEADING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS AND TRANSPLANT VASCULOPATHY.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL JOIN THE TEAM LED BY DR. LAFFARGUE AT THE INSTITUTE OF METABOLIC AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES (I2MC, UMR1297; HTTPS://WWW.I2MC.INSERM.FR (https://www.i2mc.inserm.fr/)), LOCATED IN TOULOUSE. DR. LAFFARGUE'S TEAM INVESTIGATES THE RESPONSES OF VASCULAR CELLS INVOLVED IN ARTERIAL REMODELING, WHICH CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS AND TRANSPLANT VASCULOPATHY.
Your tasks
Our research focuses on 1.the impact of mechanical stress on endothelial cell homeostasis,
2.new determinants of smooth muscle cell dysfunction, with a particular interest in the PI3K signaling pathway,
http://3.the preclinical and clinical validation of our studies. These studies aim to identify new cellular targets in order to propose new concepts and new therapeutic strategies to prevent arterial lesions.
THE CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTION OF PROJECTS AIMED AT CHARACTERIZING THE RESPONSE OF ENDOTHELIAL CELLS TO MECHANICAL STRESS IN A DISRUPTED METABOLIC CONTEXT. THEY WILL BE IN CHARGE OF ENSURING A COLLABORATIVE PROJECT AIMED AT ALSO UNDERSTANDING THIS RESPONSE IN A HYPOXIC CONTEXT. FINALLY, THE RECRUITED PERSON WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE SCIENTIFIC VALORIZATION OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED AND WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE SCIENTIFIC LIFE AND ANIMATION OF THE TEAM.
