General Manager (Business Management)

Key Responsibilities: Oversee overall business operations including commercial, finance, HR and administrative functions of the company. Formulate and implement strategic business plans aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Drive business development initiatives, including client acquisition, tender management and contract negotiations. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure sustainable profitability. Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities in the construction sector. Ensure operational efficiency through effective resource allocation, policy implementation and risk management. Strengthen internal control systems and ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with project teams and technical leads to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction. Build and lead a high-performance management team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Serve as a key liaison between stakeholders, clients, authorities and senior management.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent is an advantage. At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or general management role. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction business operations. Proven track record in business development, project profitability and team leadership. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Experience in tendering, contracts and managing government or private sector projects. Knowledge of local regulations, statutory requirements and industry best practices.
