Innova Search & Selection are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing facility in Wrexham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, solving problems and keeping high-speed manufacturing equipment running efficiently.

The Role

Working as part of the site engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a modern, automated manufacturing operation.

The position is approximately 70% mechanical and 30% electrical, making this an ideal opportunity for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer who also has solid electrical fault-finding capability.

You will be working on a wide range of production equipment where effective fault-finding, preventative maintenance and a proactive approach to engineering are essential to maintaining production output.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the manufacturing site.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on high-speed production machinery.
• Undertake electrical fault-finding and repairs.
• Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Identify the root cause of recurring mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement and machinery reliability initiatives.
• Work closely with Production to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site Health & Safety procedures.
• Contribute to maintaining a reliable and efficient production environment.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background and good electrical knowledge.

You will ideally have:

• Previous Maintenance Engineering experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Good electrical fault-finding capability.
• Experience working with automated production machinery.
• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
• The ability to diagnose faults quickly and methodically.
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and machinery reliability.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume production environment.
• A recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous.

The Shift Pattern

This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
