Your tasks

The Internal Communications Lead for Inizio Ignite will lead and coordinate internal communications across Ignite, helping ensure colleagues are informed, engaged and connected to our strategy, priorities and wider organisation.

Working closely with the Ignite Management Team, business and functional leaders, and the Inizio Internal Communications team, this role will develop and deliver clear, compelling communications that connect colleagues to key priorities and create a consistent and effective communications rhythm across the organisation.

The Internal Communications Lead will also play an important role in connecting Ignite with broader Inizio communications, translating enterprise-wide messages for Ignite audiences where appropriate and ensuring Ignite is well represented in wider Inizio communications activity.

  • Lead the development and delivery of Ignite's internal communications approach, establishing a clear and coordinated communications rhythm across Ignite businesses, functions and leadership teams.
  • Drive the maturity, structure and consistency of internal communication processes and platforms, establishing clear standards and ways of working that enable effective, coordinated communication across the business.
  • Coordinate executive and leadership communications on behalf of the Global President and Ignite Management Team, including Town Halls and other key colleague forums, providing guidance on messaging, timing, audience, channels and supporting materials.
  • Develop communications plans for key Ignite programmes, organisational initiatives and functional priorities, partnering with HR and other teams to ensure messages are clear, coordinated and actionable.
  • Act as the primary communications interface between Ignite and the central Inizio Internal Communications team, coordinating the cascade of Inizio-wide communications into Ignite and identifying opportunities to amplify Ignite messages through broader Inizio channels.
  • Develop high-quality, engaging content across internal channels, including email, intranet, Viva Engage, leadership messages, presentations and other colleague communications.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, functional teams and communications contacts across Ignite to identify, coordinate and share important information effectively.
  • Maintain and continuously improve key Ignite communications channels, tools and resources, including communications calendars, distribution and stakeholder lists, templates, leadership materials and shared business information.
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications using engagement data, employee feedback and other insights to continually improve communications approaches.
  • Champion the effective use of technology, AI and emerging communications tools to improve content development, communications planning, productivity and colleague engagement.

Requirements

This is a hands-on role requiring strong writing, judgement, stakeholder management and project management skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between strategic communications planning and day-to-day execution, developing everything from leadership presentations and briefing materials to employee communications and channel content.

What you will need

  • Demonstrable experience in internal communications, corporate communications or employee engagement, ideally within a complex, matrixed or global organisation.
  • Experience developing and executing communications plans for strategic initiatives and organisational change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise and engaging content across a range of audiences, formats and channels.
  • Strong experience drafting executive-level communications and senior leadership materials, including presentations, talking points, briefing documents and organisational announcements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with confidence working directly with senior leaders and colleagues across functions, businesses, geographies and levels of seniority.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple communications activities, stakeholders and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Sound judgement and discretion, including the ability to handle sensitive or confidential organisational and employee information appropriately.
  • Experience managing internal communications channels and familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Viva Engage or similar tools.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to anticipate communications needs, identify gaps and work independently in an evolving environment.
  • An interest in technology and AI, and how emerging tools can improve communications quality, efficiency and employee experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
