About the company

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to incorporate a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the R&D business unit within the Solar PV & BESS sector in Sarriguren (Navarra).

Your tasks

Mission: You will be responsible for the design of photovoltaic and battery inverters, working with the latest technologies in the renewable energy sector, to meet the objectives of the assigned project in terms of both quality and deadlines.

Among your main challenges, the following work stands out:

• Design, calculate, and define mechanical and cooling components for electronic power converters.
• Perform structural calculations of the product and guarantee its mechanical reliability.
• Design advanced liquid cooling systems.
• Perform thermal simulations of the product.
• Provide innovation and quality ideas to the design of our products.
• Verify and validate prototypes and pre-series to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare and review technical documentation related to the product.
• Participate in the industrialization of designs.
• Manage design deadlines and costs, ensuring compliance with project goals.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering, specialty Mechanical.
• 2-3 years of previous experience in similar roles is required.
• English level B2 or higher.
• Proficiency in solidedge.
• Knowledge of structural analysis using finite elements.
• Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design, manufacturing processes, liquid cooling design, and structural and thermal simulations will be positively valued.
