APPLICATION ENGINEER IN POWER SYSTEMS

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to incorporate a Technician for the design of electrical solutions in the Hydrogen Business Unit at our Zamudio facilities to respond to customer requests, developing the following functions: Perform advanced technical calculations, simulations, and dimensioning to design new power solutions for the electrical supply of electrolyzers in response to customers' technical specifications.

Respond to specific customer requests related to product characteristics, technical calculations, or operational functioning.

Select and specify relevant power components (transformers, protections, auxiliary systems, etc.) according to customer or project needs.

Develop precise technical documentation based on analysis, calculations, or simulation results, for internal use or presentation to the customer.

Ensure that the proposed technical solutions comply with applicable regulatory and quality standards (IEC, UL, CSA).

Analysis and coordination with different departments of the unit to determine the best global product.

Participate in the generation of new ideas and strategies to improve existing products or optimize ongoing designs.

Assumption of the role of connection between the commercial area, the technical area, and the customers.

Requirements University degree in Electrical / Electronic / Automation Engineering Postgraduate degree in Power Electronics, Renewable Energies, Automation, industrial electronics and control … Technical knowledge in power converters, electricity, and connection to the electrical grid. High Level of English The following will be valued: Experience in the energy sector Technical knowledge in MV transformers and MV switchgear.
