Aerospace Mechanical Certification Engineer M/F (M/F)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to carry out certification activities within the framework of passenger seat development for a major aerospace equipment manufacturer.

The activities consist of writing certification documents and modifying them as the project progresses in order to justify choices.

In order to produce these documents, it will be necessary to collect information from calculations, design office, lopa, test benches, and project managers. These documents will be subject to revision based on comments from the aircraft manufacturer and/or design evolutions.

Certification activities will consist of:

Compliance activity with requirements:

• Verify that the product or simulation/test results comply with the requirements of the authorities as well as aircraft manufacturers.

Verification/Qualification Activity:

• Plan verification activities
• Retrieve scheduling information on milestones and expected deliverables (dates, expected maturity relative to milestones, project constraints, budget)
• Identify the data to be produced at internal milestones following the verification method (test, similarity, analysis, reviews, etc.)
• Identify contributing human resources
• Identify resources (test benches, tooling, specimens, etc.)
• Sequence verification activities

Perform Verification activities in the functional, ultimate load, and cyclic load domains:

• Define and write verification procedures (Test Plan and Procedure, analyses, similarities, etc.)
• Prepare verification resources (test requests, specifications for test tooling, etc.)
• Validate the compliance file for test specimens
• Verify the test setup and validate it
• Assist the test (Validate its progress)
• Process and analyze verification results
• Validate bench test reports

Ensure the technical interface with 'Built to Spec' suppliers on the "Verification" part in connection with the verification plan.

Documents are produced using the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat. Documents will be stored in the client's PLM.

An Engineer in Mechanics, Aerospace, or an equivalent field, you have 3 years of experience in mechanical certification, or a first significant experience in the field, ideally in the aerospace sector.

Knowledge of activities related to passenger seats or interior equipment would be a plus.

You master aerospace certification standards and processes (CS-25, FAR 25, EASA, FAA, etc.) as well as the associated verification and validation methods.

Experience in writing certification files and technical project management is an asset.

You have solid knowledge in compliance analysis, test planning, and technical data management, as well as good proficiency in office tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).

You demonstrate methodical rigor, excellent analytical and synthesis skills, as well as a good ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Your autonomy, organizational skills, and ability to manage several projects simultaneously are essential qualities to succeed in this position.

A good level of technical English is indispensable for communicating with aircraft manufacturers and writing documents that comply with international requirements.
