Your tasks

The measurement unit within Infranord AB has approximately 40 employees distributed across all of Sweden. The measurement unit performs measurements and condition assessments on track and railway facilities in Sweden. Within the organization, there are field operators for ultrasonic testing.

The measurement unit is now seeking OPF-technicians with certification in Ultraljud (UT) at least level 1, level 2 is meritorious. Placement in Svealand/Götaland.

The measurement unit's OPF-technicians perform periodic ultrasonic testing of rails, switches, and other track components. The work includes manual ultrasonic testing of switches and frogs, verification of defects after ultrasonic trains, inspection of deviating main tracks, as well as weld inspections.

Requirements

The work is performed independently or in pairs and requires great precision, technical knowledge, computer literacy, and good handling of instruments. The work as an OPF-technician is a traveling job, and You must be prepared for and enjoy working throughout the country, including in Norway/Denmark. Night work is common and weekend work as needed.

Eligibility to perform ultrasonic testing in Trafikverket's tracks requires a valid certificate for examination in UT (Ultraljud) according to SS-EN 9712 at least level 2. The work requires an approved health examination for security services as well as training in TTJ (Sos-ledare and TSM). At least a B-driver's license is a requirement, as well as good knowledge of English.
