Verification Engineer in Complete Vehicle Testing
Are you looking for a challenge where you can combine your analytical abilities with a lot of practical work with actual products? Do you find it fun to get out into the vehicle, connect the measurement equipment, and truly feel the product – instead of just sitting in front of a screen? Then you have come to the right place!
Right now, we at Infotiv are looking for a verification engineer for a long-term assignment with one of our large automotive customers in Göteborg. As an employee with us, you will become part of a non-pretentious and open community where we support and help each other in everyday life. Our philosophy is summarized in the keywords "warm heart and sharp brain". The warm heart means that we put the human being at the center – with us, you should feel seen, appreciated, and listened to. The sharp brain stands for our high technical competence, where we encourage new thinking and individual initiative. We want you to be able to test new things and grow in your professional role, while having the security of a stable employment with fair conditions and a collective agreement via Almega.
The 4 most important areas of responsibility in the role
Here are the areas that define the role and which you will spend most of your time on:
Preparation and complete vehicle testing: You prepare test objects and execute tests directly in the vehicle based on established test protocols, focusing on the electrical properties of the system. Software and hardware baselines: You update, verify, and ensure that both hardware and software maintain the correct baseline before testing. Troubleshooting and log analysis: You analyze test results, dig into logs to find the root cause of deviations, and create and manage error reports. Technical communication: You package your test results pedagogically and communicate deviations to node owners, Product Owners, and Release Managers to increase understanding of any deficiencies.
What does your development journey look like?
Working as a consultant with us means you get the best of both worlds: an exciting assignment at the forefront of technology with our customer, combined with the security and community of Infotiv.
Onboarding and support: During your initial period, you will have strong support from both your manager and your colleagues at Infotiv so that you can enter the role in a secure way. Together with the customer, we ensure that you receive the right introduction to the test environments, the tools, and the vehicle's electrical architecture.
Ongoing dialogue: We maintain a close dialogue and regular check-ins with both you and the customer. We do this to ensure that the assignment matches your expectations, that you are satisfied, and that you have the tools you need to succeed in your daily work.
Competence development: Parallel to your assignment, you always have Infotiv's network of skilled engineers behind you. With us, we are happy to share knowledge, bounce complex problems, and offer competence development so that you can continue to grow in your professional role.
The team and the way of working
You will become part of a tight-knit team with other skilled test and verification engineers. Together, you have a super important mission: to be the airbag between system development and the end customer. By quality-assuring that the electrical properties and the software work perfectly together in the finished vehicle, you lay the foundation for a seamless and safe customer experience on the roads.
We work agilely with short daily check-ins and a strong focus on knowledge sharing. The team sits close to the customer's physical test vehicles, and we have a great culture where we bounce ideas and help each other when complex errors appear in the logs.
Who are you today?
To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you have:
A university or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent work experience. A few years of experience from the automotive industry with integration and verification of embedded systems (hardware and software), preferably at the complete vehicle level. A structured and analytical way of working – your sense of order and organization is your driving force in the testing work, and you love finding patterns in log files. Good communicative ability where you can explain deviations to various stakeholders in a pleasant but effective manner. B-driver's license (EU) with good driving experience (since you will be testing in actual vehicles) as well as fluent English in speech and writing. Meritorious: Experience with tools such as CANoe/CANalyser, Matlab/Simulink, scripting in Python/CAPL, or an ISTQB certification.
