Test System Developer & CANoe Specialist

The demand for complex embedded systems and software products brings increasing development costs. Introducing testing early in the development phase is the absolute key to keeping costs down and ensuring quality – even when the maturity level of the rest of the system is still low.

Right now, at Infotiv, we are looking for an experienced vehicle tester and test system developer with expertise in Vector's test system environment and CANoe for exciting assignments with our customers in the automotive industry. If you have experience in electrification and testing of electric drivetrains, this is a strong merit. The most important areas of responsibility in the role

Here are the areas that define the role and which you will spend most of your time on:

Design and development of test systems: You design, develop, and maintain complex HIL, MIL, SIL, as well as box-vehicle environments and build up simulated test environments for vehicle components.

Vector configuration and parameterization: You set up, configure, and optimize test systems based on Vector, as well as use CANoe and other related tools, including modeling and simulation of signals.

Coding and test automation: You write scripts and further develop frameworks in Python, C/C++, and CAPL, as well as integrate these against CI flows and automation servers.

Hardware-oriented work and support: You assemble and configure electronic hardware, troubleshoot existing test rigs, and support developers and verification engineers in their daily work.

The team and the way of working

You will become part of a highly skilled team of test system developers who are passionate about letting technology work for us – not the other way around. We like the combination of theoretical problem-solving and practical tinkering with rigs and electronics. The work takes place both independently and in close collaboration with the customer's V&V testers and software developers. Who are you today?

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you have:

A university or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent work experience.

At least 5 years of experience in measurement technology and test system development in HIL, rig, or system test environments.

Several years of experience in advanced use of Vector CANoe / CANalyzer.

Long experience of vehicle communication (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) as well as vehicle diagnostics.

Good programming skills in Python as well as C/C++, and familiarity with test automation, Git, and CI flows.

B-driver's license and very good knowledge of English in both speech and writing (Swedish is a merit).

Merit:

Experience of virtual test methods/simulators

Experience from heavy vehicles or electric drivetrains.

Experience of hardware design (electrical schematics/circuit boards) or directives such as the Machinery Directive and the Low Voltage Directive.

Experience of dSPACE or National Instruments (NI) as well as ISTQB certification.
