Your tasks
1.Solutioning &Application Development
- Lead requirements gathering directly with business stakeholders in Finance, HR, and Tax, translating operational pain points into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Design and develop canvas and model-driven Power Apps to automate and digitize business processes across these departments (e.g., approval workflows, data collection tools, reconciliation aids, reporting front ends).
- Architect solutions using Dataverse as the primary data platform, including entity/table design, relationships, business rules, security roles, and row-level security where departmental data segregation is required
- Build and maintain Power Automate flows (cloud and desktop) to orchestrate approvals, notifications, integrations, and cross-system data movement.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online as a document/data source where appropriate, ensuring consistent information architecture.
- Own the full application lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and post-deployment support — this role is expected to ship production-grade solutions, not prototypes.
2. Platform Administration & Governance
- Administer the Power Platform environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), including environment provisioning, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, and capacity/licensing management.
- Establish and enforce Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices for Power Apps and Power Automate solutions, including solution packaging, version control, and managed deployment pipelines.
- Administer Dataverse security models to ensure strict data segregation between departments this is critical given the sensitivity of HR and Tax data alongside Finance data.
- Support and administer SharePoint Online site structures, permissions, and governance where they intersect with Power Platform solutions.
- Maintain solution documentation, data flow diagrams, and support runbooks to institutional standard —auditability is a firm requirement, not optional.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the trusted technical advisor to department heads and process owners in Finance, HR, and Tax on what is and isn't feasible on the platform.
- Independently identify where a proposed solution has data privacy, segregation-of-duties, or regulatory implications (particularly for HR and Tax data) and raise this proactively with InfoSec/Compliance before build begins.
- Present solution designs and demos directly to business stakeholders, adjusting technical depth appropriately for non-technical audiences.
4. Mentorship
- Mentor junior developers/administrators on Power Apps development patterns, Data verse data modelling, and Power Automate best practices.
- Review junior team members' solution designs and code/configuration for quality, security, and maintainability before deployment.
Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing (documentation, brown-bag sessions, coding standards) to raise the overall capability of the wider team
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Power Apps/Power Platform solution development, with a demonstrable portfolio of deployed production applications (candidate should be prepared to walk through 2–3 solutions they personally built end-to-end).
- Experience operating without a dedicated BA function, i.e., comfortable owning requirements gathering personally.
- Prior experience in financial services or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Some prior experience informally mentoring or reviewing the work of junior developers
- Strong, confident stakeholder communication across departments with genuinely different priorities and vocabularies (Finance vs. HR vs. Tax).
- Self-directed this role is expected to manage its own backlog and prioritization across three departments with minimal supervision.
- Patient, structured communicator capable of mentoring without formal authority.
- Judgment to escalate data privacy/segregation-of-duties concerns proactively rather than waiting to be asked.
