Crane Technician

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Crane Technician to join our Maintenance Team.

The main responsibility of this position is to carry out daily inspections and checklists for Mobile & Harbour Cranes , identify any defects or abnormalities, and support the maintenance and repair of the equipment.

Jobscope

• Conduct daily inspection and complete the crane daily checklist before operation.
• Inspect the crane’s mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and safety systems.
• Check engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, tyres, brakes, lights, alarms, and other essential components.
• Inspect the boom, hook, wire ropes, outriggers, remote controller, and other lifting components.
• Identify and report any defects, damage, leaks, or abnormal conditions.
• Carryout basic preventive maintenance and minor repair works.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Coordinate with external vendors or service technicians for major repairs and servicing.
• Maintain proper records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure cranes are maintained in safe and operational condition.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintenance SOPs.
• Assist the Maintenance Team with other equipment-related duties when required.

Job Requirements

• Experience in crane maintenance, repair, or inspection is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Able to identify equipment defects and carry out basic troubleshooting.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
• Able to complete daily inspection checklists and maintenance records accurately.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.

Main Focus of the Position: Daily crane inspection, checklist completion, defect reporting, and supporting preventive maintenance and repair works.
