Finance Manager

Manufacturing | Lancashire | £45,000 to £55,000 plus good benefits

Infiniium is pleased to be partnering with a highly respected privately owned manufacturing business in East Lancashire. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will own the day-to-day accounting and cost control of a busy manufacturing operation.

What you'll do

• Deliver monthly management accounts, reconciliations and variance commentary
• Own stock valuation, WIP, cycle counts, the year-end stock take and obsolescence provisions
• Maintain bills of material, standard costs and absorption rates, and analyse yield, usage and price variances
• Provide product and customer profitability analysis, and support pricing on bespoke fragrances
• Support budgets, forecasts and capex appraisals
• Strengthen controls, support the audit and drive ERP and reporting improvements
• Supervise and develop the transactional finance team

What you'll bring

• Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), part qualified or qualified by experience
• A strong background in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• People supervisory / management skills
• Hands-on experience with stock, WIP, BOMs and standard costing
• Strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills
• A highly personable style with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain numbers cleary to non-finance managers
