IT System and Network Engineer (M/F)

The position is located at a petrochemical site of approximately 250 people, specializing in the manufacture of polyolefins intended for processing. The site is subject to ICPE (Installations Classées pour la Protection de l'Environnement) legislation and is classified SEVESO High Threshold. It is ISO 9001, 14001, and 50 001 certified.

Reporting to the technical department, a unit composed of two people (one manager and one apprentice) is in charge of IT equipment and associated peripherals. This unit is in constant and direct contact with the group's IT center.

The IT department carries out several activities: user assistance service (FrontOffice/helpdesk), system and network administration (backoffice), and cybersecurity. It collaborates on certain IT/OT projects. Some services may also be outsourced.

As part of the reinforcement of this team, we are opening a position for an IT System and Network Engineer who will primarily intervene in the support, diagnosis, and maintenance in operational conditions of network and security infrastructures.

Purpose of the function:

Participating in the provision of the necessary means to all active personnel, the purpose of the position is to take charge of and develop hardware and software tools, networks, and IT infrastructures by collaborating with all support services, while respecting the Ineos group policy.

Main missions and actions:

• Support and incident resolution
• Take charge of technical incidents reported by the teams
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to network and system infrastructures
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting of network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls, proxies.
• Provide support for Windows Server environments, print servers, and application servers

• Administration and maintenance in operational conditions
• Process operational requests and implement necessary preventive actions
• Manage flow openings and ensure the implementation of associated security rules
• Participate in the maintenance in operational conditions of critical equipment and infrastructures
• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of environments

• Continuous improvement and support
• Evolve and update technical documentation, procedures, and operating methods
• Identify and propose areas for improvement in processes and infrastructures
• Support technicians in incident resolution and their skill development.

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT:

Hardware, networks, and telecoms: TCP/IP, Ethernet, Cisco, Fortinet firewall System: AD, Windows server, VMware MS and Linux debian system infrastructure

Training:

• BAC+5
• Master Informatique / Cybersecurity, IT Engineer
• English B2-TOEIC>785 points (listening and reading)

Skills:

• Technical skills: Mastery of system design and architecture, security and firewalling skills, Windows system administration skills, automation and scripting, technical project management (from design to production).
• Soft skills: Equipped with a strong sense of analysis, synthesis, and a critical eye, you work with rigor. Autonomous, reactive, and organized, you know how to prioritize your tasks effectively. You enjoy teamwork and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Desired experience: 3-5 years in the practice of IT maintenance professions
