Operations Manager – Camper Rental

The City Lead plays a fundamental role in achieving this mission at a local level, ensuring high-quality rental operations, efficient service coordination, and a consistent, customer-oriented experience.

As the on-site operations manager, the City Lead drives operational excellence, team performance, and the entire customer journey in their city, serving as the link between global standards and their local application.

The role

The City Lead oversees the daily operations of a small depot, personally executing and coordinating all activities due to the small team size and the absence of dedicated specialized units (Servicing, RV Sales, Support).

The role is 70–80% operational and hands-on, ensuring an efficient operational flow, high-level customer service, accurate documentation, and constant fleet availability.

Furthermore, the Junior City Lead reports to the District Manager and is responsible for controlling depot costs, ensuring efficient use of consumables, preventing unnecessary expenses, minimizing repetitive activities, and ensuring disciplined management of operating expenses.

Responsibilities

Execute and coordinate all rental-related activities: check-in, check-out, documentation, and system updates, including cleaning and maintenance;

Monitor daily KPIs;

Promote additional products and services through a sales approach based on customer value;

Perform basic checks on campers and vans (battery, water systems, gas, lights, tires);

Promptly report any complex technical or mechanical issues to the regional assistance and maintenance teams;

Ensure complete accuracy of fleet status and availability in the operating systems;

Coordinate daily shifts, priorities, and task assignments within the small team, including demonstrating SOPs and onboarding activities for new employees;

Supervise the preparation and presentation of campers for sales appointments.

Requirements

Ability to lift or move light to moderate weight objects (10–15 kg) and to stand, walk, and move within the depot for extended periods;

Willingness to perform physical activities when necessary;

Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions;

Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons;

4–6 years of experience in dynamic operational environments, logistics, rental, hospitality, or customer-facing roles;

Strong operational and practical skills;

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and establish priorities;

Flexibility to work extended shifts during peak season;

Category B driving license mandatory;

Fluent English mandatory; French is a plus.
