*The Opportunity*

We are looking for an experienced *Data Analyst* to support enterprise data operations, system integrations, and reporting across business, clinical, and laboratory teams. This hands-on role works with Microsoft SQL Server, business intelligence tools, automated data processes, and secure data transfers in a healthcare environment where data accuracy, reliability, and privacy are essential.

*Key Areas of Responsibility*·

• Support daily data operations and ensure timely, accurate data delivery.
• Perform data and order corrections in the Lab Information System (LIS) and related systems.
• Monitor and audit data transfers and automated processes.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL and T-SQL queries, procedures, and views.
• Develop and maintain Power BI and SSRS reports and dashboards.
• Investigate and resolve data quality, integration, reporting, and system issues.
• Support ETL pipelines, scheduled data jobs, and automated processes.
• Support KPI, operational, and management reporting.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business and reporting requirements into reliable data solutions.
• Maintain documentation for data processes, integrations, reporting logic, and system changes.
• Ensure appropriate handling and protection of Personal Health Information (PHI).
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.

*Hands-on Experience Needed to Excel in This Role*

• Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• SQL and T-SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Power BI, including datasets, data refresh, publishing, and access control.
• Microsoft Excel and Power Query.
• Data correction and troubleshooting within LIS and related systems.
• Secure file transfers using SFTP and other file-based exchange methods.
• Automation, monitoring, and recovery of scheduled data jobs.
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL processes is an asset.
• Scripting or programming using PowerShell, Python, C#/.NET, or similar technologies is an asset.

*Qualifications*

*Education:*

• Bachelor?s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, or Health Informatics or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

*Experience:*

• Proven experience supporting SQL Server data, reporting, and integration environments.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, and data validation.
• Experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports and datasets.
• Experience with data integrations, ETL processes, and file-based data transfers.
• Experience working with sensitive or confidential data in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with PHIPA and the handling of Personal Health Information (PHI).
• Experience using a Laboratory Information System (LIS) is an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive operational environment.
