Technical Incoming Inspector

Guidant Global is recruiting a Technical Incoming Inspector on behalf of Airbus at their Belfast site. This is a great opportunity to bring your inspection and quality expertise to a global leader in aerospace manufacturing, playing a direct role in ensuring the quality and compliance of world-class aircraft components.

Your tasks

• Carrying out inspection, quality control and quality assurance functions
• Ensuring product compliance with design specifications, customer requirements, approving authority requirements and regulations
• Providing instruction and advice to operators as required
• Monitoring the Delegated Operator Scheme
• Working flexibly as part of a team
• Writing technical reports to highlight drawing, process and tooling anomalies, instigating investigation and corrective action

Requirements

Precision is everything when the components you inspect end up thousands of feet in the air. If you've got a background in aerospace or precision manufacturing and an eye for detail that never lets anything slip through, this role is built for you.

Essential

• A completed electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, with a minimum of 2 years' relevant post-apprenticeship experience in an electrical aerospace environment, or a manufacturing/assembly/tooling environment
• Familiarity with quality control requirements
• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of company manufacturing and assembly practices, requirements and standards

_Desirable_

• ONC/A levels or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge of 3D metrology
