JOINT FIRES DELIBERATE TARGETING MANAGER
You will serve as a JOINT FIRES DELIBERATE TARGETING MANAGER within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Major duties
- You will coordinate all aspects of theater joint fires and targeting to include targeting and attack policy, strategic target selection, and fire targeting guidance for the employment of joint fires.
- You will review, analyze, and evaluate fires and targeting plan of subordinate joint forces, sub-unified commands, service components, and functional components to ensure the fires and targeting plans objectives and priorities are properly nested.
- You will train and educate staff and subordinate units on joint fires and targeting processes, intelligence support to targeting, and Joint targeting process in support of crisis response option and command strategic and/or theater war plans.
- You will provide management and technical oversight for military and civilian personnel.
- You will establish program goals and objectives, develop resources estimates, and determine resource allocations.
- You will ensure program objectives, planning, and execution including consideration and coordination with similar DOD programs.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following 1. Supporting Joint Fires operations, procedures, processes, and battle rhythm events. 2. Utilizing knowledge of targeting, fires planning, and operational execution within joint or service-level organizations. 3. Analyzing and developing Combatant Command operations, planning cycles, exercises, deployments, and operational plans. 4. Collaborating effectively across multiple directorates, services, and chains of command to accomplish mission objectives. 5. Preparing and delivering briefings, decision papers, recommendations, or analysis for senior leaders. 6. Demonstrating leadership serving on a joint, service, or operational staff, with responsibility for coordinating complex projects or initiatives.
