FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the NAVAL SMALL CRAFT INSTRUCTION & TECHNICAL TRAINING SCHOOL (NAVSCIATTS)/SPECIAL BOAT TRAINING COMMAND of SPECIAL BOATS TRAINING COMMAND.
Major duties
- You will be responsible for negotiating, monitoring, and coordinating with the command staff sponsors of each functional area any changes, modifications, deletions, or additions to Interservice Support Agreements.
- You will be responsible for facility maintenance, repair, and alteration programs for the command.
- You will ensure costs and services are within the scope of the command's mission requirements.
- You will conduct on-site field investigations at sites for engineering data collection in support of project planning and design for the command's buildings and training areas.
- You will analyze engineering data and generates presentations in support of staff briefings to the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, and higher authority.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing all activities associated with the maintenance and operations of Special Boat Training Command's buildings, grounds, and utilities which cover over 113,000 square feet of building and 25 acres of land; Identifying and validating emergent and long-term mission requirements and translates them into land, facility, and infrastructure requirements and aligns them with the Navy's real property portfolio to produce life-cycle technical and acquisition solutions to achieve optimal shore investment decisions; and Managing facility maintenance, repair, and alteration programs, including but not limited to tracking status of projects and funding, verifying feasiblity of work, priortization of work, and budgeting/funding of projects through command leadership, facility manager, and appropriate finance departments.
