Quality Engineer (Electronics / Automotive)

QUALITY ENGINEER

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering.
• Previous experience: +3 years as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing companies within the automotive electronics sector.
• Language: advanced English (Indispensable).
• Work location: Parque Industrial El Salto.

KNOWLEDGE:

• CORE TOOLS (indispensable).
• RCA (Root Cause Analysis), 5Whys, 8Ds, PDCA.
• IPC-A-610.
• Lean Manufacturing.
• IATF 16949.
• AMEF
• ESD

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and maintain quality control plans for automotive electronic products.
• Supervise the correct execution of in-line and final inspections, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Lead rapid response teams for quality issues in production (QRQC).
• Coordinate the preparation and approval of PPAPs for new products or engineering changes.
• Analyze statistical quality data to identify trends, areas of opportunity, and prevent defects.
• Collaborate with product and process engineering in the validation of design changes or manufacturing improvements.
• Manage customer complaints, including failure analysis, 8D reports, and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Develop and implement quality procedures, ensuring their alignment with management systems.
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance in resolving problems related to product or process quality.
• Lead internal process and product audits, as well as customer and certification audits.
• Manage technical quality documentation, including inspection sheets, acceptance criteria, and test records.
• Ensure traceability of materials, components, and finished products, in accordance with customer requirements.
• Participate in quality review meetings with customers and internal teams, presenting results, action plans, and improvements.
• Monitor and report quality KPIs, proposing actions to achieve established objectives.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement and cost reduction projects, ensuring that solutions do not compromise quality.
• Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization, promoting staff participation in improvement initiatives.
