Cooks prepare and present designated food items in a timely manner, ensuring that each order conforms to the customer's request and is presented as attractively as possible.

In performing their tasks, they must ensure that:

• all food items are maintained at the correct temperatures at all stages of production, up to, and including presentation;

• production tools are consistently clean and ready for service;

• production equipment is consistently clean and functioning properly;

• preparation and cooking activities conform to food handling guidelines, and

• all food stations in the area of responsibility are consistently clean.

Cooks contribute to a safe work environment by complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as _*Imago-specific*_ safety regulations.
