Job Description & Requirements

• Plan and implement engaging, child-centred lessons and activities in accordance with the centre’s curriculum and ECE Framework.
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment that encourages children to explore, interact and learn.
• Observe and assess children’s developmental and learning needs and provide appropriate support.
• Work closely with the Centre Supervisor and fellow educators to ensure quality care and education.
• Build positive and professional relationships with parents as partners in their child’s development.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance, communication, conduct and work ethics.
• Participate in centre programmes, events, projects and assigned duties.
• Attend relevant courses, seminars and training, and fulfil at least 20 hours of required CPD.
• Submit weekly lesson plans and evaluations on time.
• Participate in lesson observations twice a year.
• Prepare an E-Newsletter once per term.
• Prepare children’s E-Portfolios with photos monthly for vetting and distribution to parents, except in June and December.
• Keep updated with developments in early childhood education and continuously improve professional knowledge and skills.
• Participate in simple action research and other centre initiatives when required.
• Carry out all assigned responsibilities and event duties to the best of one’s ability.
