Japanese Language Teacher (Full-time)

Job Description & Requirements *Teach Japanese as a foreign language mainly to Singaporean working adults. *Conduct lessons using the direct method, with Japanese as the primary language of instruction, to create an immersive learning environment where teachers and students can communicate naturally in Japanese. *Help students develop practical Japanese communication skills that can be applied in everyday and professional settings. *Promote cultural exchange and cross-cultural understanding, and introduce Japanese customs, traditions, culture, and ways of thinking. *Participate in lesson planning and other duties related to the operation of the school.

Minimum Requirements: Candidates must meet all requirements of the following (1. to 3.):

1. Native-level proficiency in Japanese, with the ability to conduct lessons in Japanese;
2. Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent;
3. Possess at least one of the following qualifications, training, or academic backgrounds in Japanese language teaching: a. Majored or minored in Japanese language teaching at university;

b. Completed a comprehensive Japanese language teacher training course; or c. Passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test or obtained an equivalent qualification.

Others: *6-day (44-hour) work week with one weekday off (Full-time position) *Working hours may be scheduled between 9:00 am and 10:30 pm on weekdays, and between 9:00 am and 8:30 pm on weekends *To be able to commit to classes that are scheduled mainly on weekday evenings and on weekends. *Good team player with good interpersonal and communications skills. *Part-time position is also available.
