Project Engineer / Site Supervisor

Your tasks

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and controlling daily site operations at Phuket Port. This role encompasses structural fabrication, installation works, and ship repair projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all work is executed in accordance with project plans, engineering specifications, safety regulations, and welding standards, while staying within schedule and budget constraints.

1. Site Supervision & Operational Control:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of site technicians, sub-contractors, and workforce.
• Inspect structural fabrication, installation, and welding works to ensure alignment with engineering drawings and industry specifications.
• Oversee ship repair and marine maintenance tasks to ensure high quality and standard compliance.

1. Project Planning & Execution:

• Work closely with the Project Manager to create and manage daily/weekly site execution plans.
• Track project progress, identify and resolve site issues promptly, and report status updates to project management.

1. Quality & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure all welding and structural assembly works strictly follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and QA/QC requirements.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across the work site and port facility.

1. Coordination & Communication:

• Coordinate effectively among engineering teams, vendors, ship owners/clients, and port authorities (Phuket Port).
• Prepare operational progress reports and communicate clearly in English and Thai.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Offshore, or Ship Repair industry.
3. Experience in Project Management and Project Plann
4. Good knowledge and understanding of structural fabrication and installation works, including welding standards.
5. Experience in ship repair and good English communication skills will be considered an advantage.
