Technical Tendering Engineer / Methods Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a Civil Engineer to develop construction methodologies and technical submissions for major construction tenders. The ideal candidate has experience in tendering, methods engineering, technical office work, or site engineering, and can turn tender requirements into practical, project-specific execution plans.
Key Responsibilities: Review drawings, specifications, BOQ, programme, and other tender documents ; identify discrepancies, missing information, and clarification queries.
Develop construction methodologies and method statements tailored to the project scope and site constraints.
Prepare construction sequences, phasing plans, Workfront plans, and interface strategies with other contractors and ongoing operations.
Assess site access, logistics, transportation routes, laydown areas, temporary facilities, and mobilization requirements.
Study temporary works and construction arrangements, including formwork systems and rotation cycles, scaffolding, lifting, and major equipment requirements.
Develop preliminary manpower, plant, and equipment requirements for the proposed methods.
Identify construction risks and propose practical mitigation measures.
Coordinate proposed methodologies with the tender programme, drawings, BOQ, and commercial assumptions.
Prepare methodology sketches, diagrams, presentations, and project organization charts.
Coordinate with Planning, HSE, Quality, MEP, and other disciplines to produce a consistent technical submission.
2–4 years of relevant experience in construction methods, technical tendering, technical office work, or site engineering.
Practical understanding of construction activities and how they are sequenced and executed on site.
Ability to write clear, project-specific construction methodologies in English.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to use drawings and schedules to prepare methodology sketches and phasing plans.
Revit experience is an advantage.
Experience on large or complex construction projects is preferred.
