Senior Software Engineer

About the role We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a product-focused engineering team developing and supporting a portfolio of software products. This role is suited to an engineer who thinks rigorously about quality, takes ownership end-to-end, and enjoys solving complex problems with simple, maintainable technology. What you'll do Design, build, test, deploy, and support software products from end-to-end

Take ownership of problems from ambiguous requirements through to production

Develop reliable and maintainable applications using modern engineering practices

Participate in system design discussions and code reviews

Make and communicate technical decisions, while remaining open to alternative approaches

Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and contribute to incident resolution

Identify opportunities to improve systems, tooling, and engineering practices

Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What we're looking for Strong engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgement

Experience with automated testing, version control, CI/CD, observability, and secure software development

Experience with or strong interest in Go, PostgreSQL, and containerised environments

Preference for simple, reliable, and maintainable technology solutions

Ability to articulate and defend technical decisions while remaining open to feedback

Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on addressing root causes

High ownership and initiative, with the ability to work independently

Strong communication and collaboration skills

A genuine interest in using AI effectively as part of the software development process
