IT Project Manager – Financial Markets

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of technology initiatives supporting financial markets and front-office business operations.
- Lead IT projects from feasibility assessment and impact analysis through planning, execution and delivery.
- Work closely with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, AI, GenAI and data analytics.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across technology, operations, finance, risk and compliance to ensure successful testing, deployment and adoption.
- Manage regional business expansion, product enhancements and regulatory change initiatives.
- Identify and prioritize project pipelines based on business needs, resource availability and delivery timelines.
- Establish project governance, monitor risks and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Drive standardization of project management practices, reporting and delivery processes.
SKILLS NEEDED
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in IT project management within financial services or management consulting.
- Hands-on experience managing technology projects in financial services, preferably supporting equities or sales and trading.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, SDLC and technology delivery.
- Familiarity with data flows, system integration, automation, analytics and AI/GenAI applications.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and other project management tools.
- Experience with Asian financial markets, regulatory initiatives or capital markets products will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with project reporting, workflow and dashboard tools is an advantage.
