Clinical Pharmacist

Workplace: HOSPITAL REGIONAL VALLE DE BRAVO 'NICOLÁS BRAVO', BICENTENARIO, ISSEMyM

Job Objective: To be co-responsible for the pharmacotherapy of beneficiaries, strengthening prevention, rehabilitation, and clinical-surgical actions for the benefit of patients, as well as promoting the rational use of medicines, with the purpose of offering a quality service.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Químico Farmacéutico Biólogo (QFB), or Químico Farmacéutico Industrial (QFI). (Degree and professional license indispensable).

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years in hospital pharmacy, compounding centers, or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in document control, pharmaceutical processes, and preparation of sterile mixtures (parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy, antibiotics).
• Training in Good Preparation Practices (BPP) or Good Manufacturing Practices (BPM).

Knowledge:

• Properties, use, and handling of medicines.
• Mastery of applicable sanitary regulations and Mexican Standards of the field.
• Pharmacovigilance and Technovigilance.
• technical English.

Responsibilities:

• Prescription Management and Validation: Perform medical reconciliation, validate clinical prescriptions, promote the prevention of medication errors (during prescription and nursing sheets), and encourage prescription by generic names.
• Pharmacotherapeutic Follow-up (SFT): Supervise the preparation, supply, and correct administration of medicines. Document pharmaceutical interventions (IFs) to adjust treatments (dosage, intervals) and prevent adverse events.
• Integral Pharmacovigilance: Coverage and promotion of FV activities in the hospital. Perform causality analysis of RAMs, advise medical/nursing staff on their management, issue reports, and notify the corresponding sanitary authorities.
• Clinical Communication and Advisory: Maintain constant and interdisciplinary communication by participating in ward rounds with doctors, nursing, and patients. Provide access to and promote the use of specialized sources of drug information.
• Hospital Optimization and Control: Assist in the reduction of hospital costs by minimizing inventories in each service, maintain strict adherence to biosafety measures, and develop the clinical competencies of the pharmaceutical staff in charge.
