Manage the company's dailyaccounting operations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, andannual financial reports. Ensure accurate recording ofrevenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Review the Profit & Loss,Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.Ensure financial records comply withcompany policies and applicable accounting standards. Oversee customer invoicing forocean, air, land freight, warehousing, customs, and other services. Ensure all freight charges,surcharges, handling fees, and other billable items are captured. Check that customer invoices matchquotations, contracts, and agreed rates. Investigate billing discrepanciesand credit notes. Monitor unbilled shipments andensure revenue is recognized promptly. Monitor customer outstanding balances and aging reports. Follow up on overdue invoices andcoordinate collection activities. Review customer credit limits andpayment terms. Work with the sales/accountmanagement team to resolve payment disputes. Monitor bad-debt risks andrecommend appropriate provisions. Supervise payment processing toshipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, overseas agents, terminals,warehouses, and other suppliers. Verify supplier invoices againstshipment records and agreed rates. Identify duplicate, incorrect, orunauthorized invoices. Ensure suppliers are paid withinagreed terms while managing company cash flow. Manage the month-end closing process. Reconcile customer and supplierbalances. Review accrued costs and prepaidexpenses. Ensure all completed shipmentshave the appropriate revenue and costs recorded. Prepare journal entries andnecessary provisions. Analyze significant variancesagainst budget or previous periods. Coordinate VAT/GST, corporate tax,withholding tax, and other applicable filings. Maintain proper supportingdocumentation for transactions. Work with external auditors, taxadvisers, and regulators when required. Ensure compliance with internalfinancial controls and statutory requirements.
