Your tasks

You will maintain cleanliness and safety in science laboratories by cleaning surfaces and glassware, assisting technicians with experiment preparation, and supporting practical lessons.

• Sweep and mop science laboratories and preparation rooms to maintain a clean environment
• Clean laboratory benches, sinks, and floors to ensure hygiene and safety
• Empty rubbish bins and broken glassware containers to prevent hazards
• Replenish soap, disinfectants, and paper towels to maintain supplies
• Wash laboratory glassware and apparatus such as beakers, measuring cylinders, and bottles to support lab activities
• Assist laboratory technicians by preparing experiments, weighing chemicals, and distributing equipment during practical lessons under supervision

Requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in science laboratories to enhance task efficiency
• Ability to perform laboratory cleaning, handle equipment, and assist laboratory technicians under supervision

Other Information Work Location

• Mondays to Fridays: 10.00am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break
