Job Summary

Maintain and manage a safe and organized science laboratory while supporting teachers with lesson preparation and equipment handling in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized science laboratory to support daily operations
• Inspect laboratory equipment regularly and report any faults to ensure safety and functionality
• Maintain accurate stock records, breakage logs, and first-aid supplies for laboratory management
• Check, handle, and safely store Bunsen burners, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment to prevent hazards
• Assist Science teachers with lesson preparation, equipment setup, clearing, and other assigned tasks to facilitate smooth teaching activities
• Communicate effectively through email and mobile messaging applications to coordinate laboratory needs and updates
• Maintain and update stock books and records to ensure inventory accuracy

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience working in a Science laboratory environment
• Experience in a primary school laboratory setting is preferred
• Proficient in written and spoken English to support clear communication
• Basic computer and digital literacy to manage records and communications
