Job Summary

Support the Student Management Team and teachers by managing student discipline, supervising activities, maintaining records, and assisting with welfare and safety to ensure a secure and supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Student Management Team and teachers in managing student discipline and behaviour cases effectively
  • Supervise students during recess, school activities, detention, and corrective work to maintain order and safety
  • Maintain accurate discipline records, student management files, and attendance tracking for reporting and follow-up
  • Assist in fact-finding and investigations related to discipline issues and coordinate communication with parents/guardians
  • Conduct safety and security walkabouts around the school, monitor entry/exit points, and assist with crowd management during events
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, escalating to appropriate school personnel as needed
  • Identify students needing additional welfare support and refer them to relevant school personnel for assistance
  • Assist with student briefings, school activities, and other operational duties assigned by the school

Required competencies and certifications

  • Valid First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one before deployment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with children, teenagers, or youth
  • Experience in student discipline, case management, or behavior support
  • Former national uniform services personnel
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict de-escalation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage high-pressure situations
  • Proficient in report writing, documentation, and MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with restorative practices and student support frameworks

Other Information

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 4.00 pm inclusive (1-hour lunch break)
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays
