Research Associate (m/f/d) (Biologist)

Your Tasks

• Ensuring the quality and timely testing of medicinal products/vaccine intermediates, starting materials, and excipients in accordance with the regulations on the trade of medicinal products or animal vaccines
• Ensuring the GMP-compliant implementation of new testing methods into routine analysis
• Processing complex deviations (Out-of-Specification/-Trend, DEV) as well as deriving corrections and CAPAs
• Implementation of corrections and CAPAs, including the creation of documents for Change-Control procedures as well as planning and coordination of simple Change-Control procedures
• Processing aborted tests as well as conducting performance checks
• Independent troubleshooting, including the analysis and evaluation of results or data and deriving conclusions
• Completion of testing documentation for samples, reference materials, and reagents as a laboratory manager
• Creation and revision of specification documents (e.g., SOPs, testing methods, work instructions)
• Creation of planning and report documents within the framework of method development, establishment, transfer, verification, and validation; presentation and discussion of documents in customer meetings
• Technical guidance of laboratory technicians within the framework of method development, establishment, transfer, verification, and validation, as well as continuous monitoring of the generated data, including deriving necessary adjustments
• Support in the preparation of presentations and presentation of technical topics to customers and authorities
• Participation in internal and cross-sectional projects
• Compliance with legal and operational requirements, including occupational, environmental, and fire protection regulations
• Taking on on-call duties

Your Profile

• Completed studies in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or an equivalent degree – University (Master) or FH (Master) with a focus on the required field, alternatively Bachelor with at least 5 years of professional experience
• Doctorate in natural sciences is an advantage
• At least 3 years of professional experience with profound knowledge and practical experience in the field, ideally under GMP conditions
• Extensive technical expertise as well as knowledge of GMP or GLP
• Extensive Excel skills beyond normal user level as well as basic knowledge of statistics
• Profound knowledge of relevant laws and guidelines, including the Gentechnikgesetz/Biostoffverordnung and their practical implementation
• Good written and spoken English skills, business fluency is an advantage
• No intolerances regarding laboratory work or work in infection laboratories (e.g., allergies to latex or disinfectants)
• Driver's license for occasional business trips is an advantage
• Strong reflection and change competence, including willingness to develop, initiative, and decision-making power, as well as entrepreneurial thinking and action
• High capacity for cooperation, target-group-specific communication, customer orientation, and conflict management skills
• Strong conceptual and analytical competence, organizational ability, as well as goal and result orientation
